An adolescent has been charged with assault for allegedly stabbing a taxi driver in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside final week.
The alleged assault occurred final Tuesday, when Vancouver Police say an off-duty officer noticed the stabbing close to the intersection of Predominant and Hastings streets.
They are saying the officer then alerted on-duty police colleagues, who arrested a 16-year-old male.

Vancouver police say the teenager suspect has now been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and assault inflicting bodily hurt.
The suspect, a resident of Richmond, B.C., has been granted bail and was launched from custody.
