An Air Canada flight headed from Toronto to Las Vegas was compelled to detour and land in Iowa on Wednesday, a spokesperson for Des Moines Worldwide Airport says.
Air Canada Flight 1702 was diverted to Des Moines after stories of smoke within the cockpit, spokesperson Sarah Hoodjer advised CBC Information.
Hoodjer mentioned the aircraft landed safely round 4 p.m.
The passengers have been deplaned and Air Canada was arranging a brand new aircraft to take the passengers to Toronto, she mentioned.
Hoodjer added that the plane will likely be evaluated.
