A snowfall warning was issued for elements of southern and central Alberta on Easter Sunday with as much as 10 centimetres more likely to fall in some areas by Sunday evening.
“Heavy snow starting tonight within the Alberta foothills,” Atmosphere and Local weather Change Canada posted on its web site. “Rain will change to snow in a single day as temperatures fall this night.
“The snow can be heavy and moist, no less than initially. As much as 10 cm is probably going tonight with further quantities presumably exceeding 10 cm on Monday.”
The climate company warned that regardless of the forecast, there’s nonetheless some “uncertainty” with the climate system, though “confidence is growing that areas northwest of Calgary will obtain a considerable quantity of snow.”

“This snowfall occasion will finish on Monday evening,” ECCC mentioned. “Visibility could also be all of a sudden decreased at instances in heavy snow. Surfaces resembling highways, roads, walkways and parking tons might develop into tough to navigate as a result of accumulating snow.
