The Calgary police arson unit has been known as in to analyze after a Molotov cocktail was thrown by way of the window of a church in southwest Calgary early Thursday morning, Jan. 9, 2025.
Police say they have been known as out reviews of a fireplace at 4:35 a.m. on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, situated at 10923 24 St. S.W.
After they arrived on scene they found a Molotov cocktail had been thrown by way of a window of the constructing.
Fortunately, firefighters have been capable of rapidly extinguish the hearth.
Police say the CPS Hate Crimes Prevention Workforce is conscious of the incident and is working alongside investigators.
The hearth is simply the newest in a string of mysterious fires and incidents of vandalism aimed a church buildings within the Calgary space lately.
