Carney off to B.C. after campaigning in Quebec yesterday
I’m Ashley Burke, a senior reporter overlaying the Liberal marketing campaign.
Liberal Chief Mark Carney is flying to British Columbia this morning after spending Tuesday campaigning in Quebec.
At a marketing campaign cease yesterday at Chez Ben canteen in Granby, Que., Carney placed on a hat as he headed into the kitchen, in line with La Presse Canadienne reporter Michel Saba.
Carney joked that it was like Donald Trump’s photo-op the place he staged working the drive-thru at a McDonald’s, Saba mentioned.
“I mentioned I am slightly bit like Trump, slightly bit like Trump at McDonald’s,” Carney mentioned to a member of his staff from the opposite facet of the drive-thru window.
What’s referred to as the “pool” media have been at this whistle cease with Carney. The pool is a small group of videographers, photographers and a reporter who doc marketing campaign stops, typically when the house is simply too tight for everybody to slot in. The marketing campaign says at its peak this week there can be 24 journalists travelling with Carney.
The photograph of the day went to Carlos Osorio, who captured Carney posing in entrance of the canteen’s signal for Reuters.
Carney held one among his greater rallies later that evening in Laval, the place for the second evening in a row he mentioned the core of his plan is to “construct, child, construct” — a play on Trump’s line, “drill, child, drill.”
