The Vancouver Canucks are urging individuals to “disregard any latest posts” on their X account, which the membership mentioned Monday has been “compromised.”
Posts appeared on the account Monday afternoon touting cryptocurrency, together with one with an apparently deep-faked video of X proprietor Elon Musk promising a “crypto giveaway.”
“Our expensive good friend Elon has a message to everybody!” the submit claims.

One other submit included a graphic that includes a number of Canucks gamers whereas selling a “$CANUCKS” crypto token.

In an announcement, a membership spokesperson urged individuals to not work together with the posts.
“Please observe that the @Canucks Twitter/X account has been compromised,” the assertion reads.
“Please disregard any latest posts till additional discover. We’re working with the platform and the NHL to resolve the problem as rapidly as potential.”
The offending posts appeared to have been absolutely eliminated by 3 p.m.
The timing of the breach is especially difficult for the membership, with many followers tuning in to the Canucks social media accounts for the NHL Draft Lottery, scheduled for 4 p.m. PT on Monday.
