CHICAGO – A Chicago lady has been charged in reference to a fatal hit-and-run in January that killed a 66-year-old pedestrian within the West Town neighborhood.
Iryna Kalach, 39, was arrested Thursday within the South Loop.
The backstory
The hit-and-run occurred on Jan. 24, when Kalach allegedly struck the girl together with her Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross as she was strolling in a crosswalk within the 700 block of North Oakley Boulevard.
The sufferer, recognized as Halyna Hudzan, was transported to Stroger Hospital, the place she was pronounced lifeless, in response to police and the Prepare dinner County health worker’s workplace.
