Mounties in Langley say they’ve saved Christmas for one household after thieves stole presents from below their tree.
Police say the break-and-enter incident occurred on Dec. 22 in a house, the place a number of wrapped Christmas presents that had been positioned below the household’s Christmas tree have been stolen.
Corporal Zynal Sharoom, a spokesman with the Langley RCMP, says it’s tragic to see the story of the Grinch Who Stole Christmas become a actuality.
Sharoom says officers employed a number of investigative methods, which allowed them to trace the thieves down and even recuperate the presents.
Sharoom says they’ve rewrapped the presents and returned them to the household.
Police say the investigation into this incident remains to be ongoing.
