The dates have been set for the get together leaders’ debates within the upcoming federal election.
The Leaders’ Debates Fee stated Monday the French-language debate shall be held on April 16 at 9 p.m. japanese time, adopted by the English-language debate on April 17 at 7 p.m.
Each debates shall be held on the Maison de Radio-Canada in Montreal and televised throughout the nation, the impartial fee stated.

Occasion leaders will qualify for the debates in the event that they meet two of three standards:
- Their get together held a seat within the Home of Commons on the date the election was known as;
- Have a nationwide polling common of a minimum of 4 per cent by March 31, or 28 days earlier than the election date of April 28; and
- Have candidates endorsed in a minimum of 90 per cent of federal ridings 28 days earlier than the election
The fee stated it’ll announce which leaders have certified for the debates on April 1.
TVO journalist Steve Paikin will average the English-language debate, whereas the French-language debate shall be moderated by Radio-Canada journalist Patrice Roy.
