Los Angeles Division of Water and Energy (LADWP) CEO and Chief Engineer Janisse Quiñones stated Wednesday groups have struggled to take care of water stress on the system, which permits water to be pushed into fireplace hydrants utilized by firefighters.
“The pressure that this hearth has placed on the water system and the hydrants, they’re simply not designed for that sort of utilization unexpectedly for 15 hours straight,” Los Angeles County Hearth Division Captain Sheila Kelliher Berkoh advised FOX Climate.
