FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed why he determined to resign “throughout such a harmful time” and with almost three years left to go in his time period throughout an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday.

Wray, a graduate of Yale Regulation College who joined the DOJ in 1997, was nominated by Trump to run the bureau in 2017 after he fired then-FBI Director James Comey.
Trump and Wray’s relationship has since deteriorated after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago after the president-elect was accused of possessing labeled paperwork in his personal residence.
“Our job on the FBI is to observe the details wherever they lead, irrespective of who likes it,” Wray instructed “60 Minutes.”

Trump’s marketing campaign spokesman and incoming White Home communications director slammed Wray on the time as peddling “conspiracist bulls—t” for “political purpose” in an announcement given to the New York Post.
Trump nominated his longtime ally Kashyap “Kash” Patel to succeed Wray as head of the bureau.
Patel, 44, who served on the Nationwide Safety Council throughout Trump’s first time period and authored the ebook “Authorities Gangsters,” has been one of many president-elect’s extra controversial picks.
Former Reagan CIA Chief William H. Webster, 100, wrote to senators urging them not to confirm Patel, saying his affirmation would set a “harmful precedent.”
