It was a Wednesday night like every other for Andrew Goodsell, who was settling into his tent on the Decrease Flinn Park encampment in Halifax for the evening, when he heard a big explosion go off close by.
Goodsell was in the midst of listening to the radio report in regards to the devastating fires in California when one other blaze had began mere toes away from his tent.
“I unzip my tent, and I look again and there’s a roaring hearth occurring,” Goodsell mentioned.

Goodsell has been residing outdoors along with his rescue canine, Dusty, for nearly a yr.
