Hamas launched three extra hostages on Saturday in alternate for greater than 300 Palestinian prisoners as a part of the fragile ceasefire settlement reached with Israel.
The hostages launched had been Alexander (Sasha) Troufanov, 29; Sagui Dekel-Chen, 36, and Yair Horn, 46. Troufanov has Israeli and Russian citizenship, Dekel-Chen is an American-Israeli and Horn is a twin citizen of Israel and Argentina.
The three had been kidnapped by Hamas from Kibbutz Nir Oz within the terror group’s Oct. 7, 2023, assault in opposition to Israel that sparked the war in Gaza now below ceasefire.

The Palestinian prisoners had been free of Israeli jails as a part of the delicate ceasefire settlement, which has continued to carry even after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened that “all hell goes to interrupt out” if Hamas doesn’t launch all of the remaining hostages this week. Trump has additionally stated he’s dedicated to the U.S. buying and taking up Gaza and resettling Palestinians elsewhere.
About 70 hostages stay in Hamas custody. Practically all of the remaining hostages, together with Israeli troopers, are males and about half are believed to be lifeless.

Within the first section of the ceasefire, 24 hostages and greater than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners have been launched thus far. The primary section contains Hamas’ launch of 33 Israeli hostages in alternate for practically 2,000 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.
The conflict might resume if no settlement is reached on the extra difficult second section, which requires Hamas to launch all remaining hostages and an indefinite extension of the ceasefire.
