Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is conducting an investigation after a risk actor stated it had stolen knowledge from the corporate’s community.
IntelBroker, a cyberattack group that has been lively since no less than 2022, claimed responsibility for the breach on the BreachForums underground discussion board, alleging that it had entry to the corporate’s API, WePay, non-public and public GitHub repositories, Zerto and iLO supply code, outdated consumer data, and extra.
Beforehand, IntelBroker claimed to have breached organizations resembling AMD, Europol, Cisco, Nokia, and others, and its members have served in management positions at BreachForums.
And this is not the primary time HPE has faced breaches by the hands of malicious actors. In 2018, APT10 hackers reportedly compromised some HPE programs, hacking into buyer gadgets; and in 2021, its Aruba Central network monitoring platform was breached, permitting risk actors to entry knowledge concerning monitored gadgets.
As HPE investigates the latest knowledge breach claims, it stays unclear if there may be any fact to them, and, in that case, how the breach occurred.
