Alberta’s entry to info watch canine has discovered the provincial authorities to be non-compliant with its personal freedom of data guidelines.
A new report from information and privacy commissioner Diane McLeod says Alberta’s authorities has carried out inner procedures and coverage that enable authorities workers to wrongfully deny freedom of data requests.
It says the federal government has put pointless restrictions and limitations on requests in an try to make fulfilling them simpler.
However McLeod says the restrictions make the method unfair for these in search of info and violate the foundations set out in laws.

McLeod’s report follows a two-year investigation and says all 27 authorities departments had been discovered to be at fault.
