A Jacksonville man stays in Duval County jail after a shooting over the weekend at a motel within the 6200 block of Arlington Expressway. Mark Hinton, 29, was charged with tried homicide, armed theft, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after a person was shot Saturday.

Jacksonville police responded to the placement at about 5:30 p.m. after they have been referred to as by the motel clerk. Officers arrived to search out the sufferer with a gunshot wound to his proper arm, a Jacksonville police arrest report states.
He was taken to the hospital and handled for accidents that weren’t life-threatening. The sufferer instructed police he entered a room on the motel with a lady after agreeing on a prostitution deal, the report states.
About three to 5 minutes later, Hinton entered the room, the report states.

The sufferer left the room and went to the resort clerk and requested them to name police. Whereas he was standing on the entrance desk, Hinton walked into the foyer the report states.
Hinton was later positioned by officers and brought into custody with out incident, the report states.
