SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A person is in custody after a six-hour SWAT standoff Tuesday in a La Jolla neighborhood.
The San Diego Police Division, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division and SWAT groups arrived at a house within the space of La Jolla Scenic Drive and Through Casa Alta, close to the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial, round 10 a.m. Tuesday for reviews of threats.

The police division reported that an individual was of their automobile with a gun, refusing to get out.
Round 4:20 p.m., FOX 5/KUSI discovered authorities had been capable of persuade the 20-year-old man to throw the gun out of the window and take him into custody with out incident.
The suspect was taken to a hospital.
Three colleges within the space — Muirlands, La Jolla Excessive Faculty and La Jolla Elementary — had been quickly locked down on the request of the San Diego Police Division, per James Canning with the San Diego Unified Faculty District.
San Diego police closed a number of roads within the space, from La Jolla Scenic Drive S to Higher Hillside Drive. Residents had been requested to keep away from the world and shelter in place through the standoff.
All lockdowns and shelter in place requests have since been lifted.
