Russia has stated that its consulate in Marseille has been hit by an explosion ‘with all of the hallmarks of a terror assault’.
Dozens of firefighters had been referred to as out to the positioning within the southern French metropolis on Monday morning. A safety supply informed Reuters that plastic bottles had been thrown on the wall of the consulate and one exploded.
The French inside ministry has stated there have been no casualties from the blast and all workers and the Russian consul had been unhurt. Russia’s consul normal Stanislav Oranskiy stated there was a blast contained in the constructing and Moscow has demanded a full French investigation.

“The explosions on the territory of the Russian Consulate Basic in Marseille have all of the hallmarks of a terrorist assault,” TASS quoted Overseas Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying. “We demand (from France) exhaustive and immediate measures to research, in addition to steps to strengthen the safety of Russian international missions.”
The incident within the southern French metropolis occurred on the third anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war.
