Halifax Reginal Police say they’re investigating the theft of three items of paintings — valued at over $30,000 in whole — from a personal residence.
The report got here in on Nov. 25, 2024, after three framed Christmas playing cards by the famed Nova Scotia artist had been lifted from a house within the 1900 block of Cambridge Road.

The playing cards, that are matted and framed, are about seven inches by 5 inches in dimension. They’re every price “in extra” of $10,000, police observe.
Spokesperson Const. Martin Cromwell says nothing else was stolen from the house.
He says anybody who notices the work on the market or comes throughout them ought to contact police.
Maud Lewis work are sought-after collectibles.
There have been different incidents of theft too. In 2021, two paintings worth about $20,000 each were stolen from a Smiths Cove, N.S. home.
