The mom of a Calgary homicide suspect has testified her son was struggling hallucinations and was in concern of animalistic creatures months earlier than a younger girl was stabbed to loss of life on a downtown avenue.
31-year-old Vanessa Ladouceur was stabbed to loss of life whereas strolling to work in downtown Calgary round 8 a.m. on March 18, 2022.

Michael Adenyi is charged with first-degree homicide within the loss of life of health teacher Vanessa Ladouceur in March 2022.
He has testified he believed he was attacking a creature when he assaulted the lady and solely realized what he had carried out when he reduce himself and found what had actually occurred.

His mom informed court docket that Adenyi began having hallucinations in September 2021, was seeing horrifying animals, was speaking to his shoelaces and would take hour-long showers to drown out the voices in his head.
She says the household sought assist and he noticed a psychiatrist who prescribed Prozac for a depressive dysfunction.
Adenyi’s legal professionals are arguing he’s not criminally accountable by purpose of a medical dysfunction.
