An Indiana Army National Guard soldier died in a “non-combat associated incident” in Iraq simply days after Christmas, the Nationwide Guard confirmed to Fox Information.
The Nationwide Guard stated Capt. Eric Richard Hart, 34, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died on December 28 whereas supporting Operation Inherent Resolve within the Center East.
The Nationwide Guard didn’t reveal what led to Hart’s dying, solely saying the incident is below investigation.
Hart was assigned to Headquarters & Headquarters Battalion, thirty eighth Infantry Division, Indiana Nationwide Guard, in accordance with the Nationwide Guard.

Hart served with the Indiana Nationwide Guard for 11 years, incomes the Meritorious Service Medal, Military Commendation Medal, Military Achievement Medal, Military Reserve Part Achievement Medal, amongst many others.
He commissioned as second lieutenant in 2015 from the Officer Candidate College at Camp Atterbury.
