Prince William and the royal household paid tribute to a British man killed within the New Orleans terrorist assault.
Edward Pettifer, 31, was recognized as one of many victims concerned within the assault on Bourbon Road within the early morning hours of New Yr’s Day.
Pettifer was from London, and his stepmother is a former nanny to Prince William and Prince Harry.

“Catherine and I’ve been shocked and saddened by the tragic demise of Ed Pettifer,” a press release shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram stated.
“Our ideas and prayers stay with the Pettifer household and all these harmless individuals who have been tragically impacted by this horrific assault.”
The assertion concluded with the letter W, as Prince William signed off on the tribute posted on social media.
Within the Nineteen Nineties, Pettifer’s stepmother, Alexandra “Tiggy” Legge-Bourke, was a nanny to Prince William and Prince Harry.
The Pettifer household shared a press release issued by London’s Metropolitan Police.

“All the household are devastated on the tragic information of Ed’s demise in New Orleans. He was an exquisite son, brother, grandson, nephew and a pal to so many.
“We’ll all miss him terribly. Our ideas are with the opposite households who’ve misplaced their relations on account of this horrible assault. We request that we will grieve the lack of Ed as a household in non-public. Thanks.”
King Charles was reportedly deeply saddened to study of Pettifer’s demise and had been in contact with the household to move on his private condolences, in keeping with Reuters.

Pettifer’s father, Charles, a former British military officer, married “Tiggy” in 1999, shortly after she had stepped down as nanny to Prince William and Prince Harry.
The household remained near British royalty, and Pettifer’s stepbrother Tom was a web page at William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011.
No less than 14 folks had been killed in Wednesday’s assault, and dozens of others had been injured, the FBI stated.

Heartbroken household and buddies moved to establish the rising variety of victims after Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who legislation enforcement has recognized as the person who carried out the assault, plowed a pickup truck into a big crowd on Bourbon Road.
