An Oneida County Sheriff’s corrections officer was hospitalized after he was attacked by an incarcerated Lee Heart man, in line with the sheriff’s workplace.
On Tuesday, April 1, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned deputies from the Highway Patrol Division have been dispatched to the Oneida County Correctional Facility situated within the city of Whitestown concerning an assault investigation.
Following an investigation, deputies decided that in the course of the morning meal service, the correction officer was trying to serve the inmate his breakfast tray when the inmate kicked his cell door open, inflicting the door to strike the officer.
It was additional discovered that the inmate had struck the corrections officer within the head with a closed fist a number of instances, deputies mentioned.
