An organization employed to restore the LaSalle Causeway bridge in Kingston, Ont., is suing the federal authorities and an engineering agency for greater than $8 million, claiming it was wrongly blamed for the bridge’s structural failure.
Landform Civil Infrastructures Inc. (LCI) says Public Companies and Procurement Canada (PSPC) breached its contract, withheld funds, and unfold false claims about its position within the bridge’s collapse, in keeping with courtroom paperwork obtained by International Information.
The corporate additionally alleges that Sigma Danger Administration Inc., the engineering agency employed to evaluate the incident, negligently misinterpreted the reason for the failure, concluding that LCI deviated from the required process when it had, in reality, adopted the government-approved plan.
