A pedestrian has died in a collision with a truck in a municipality south of Montreal.
Emergency companies have been referred to as at round 9 p.m. in Saint-Urbain-Premier, about 35 kilometres from downtown Montreal in Quebec’s Montérégie area.

Quebec provincial police say the pedestrian, a person in his 30s, was within the visitors lanes when he was struck by a truck travelling southbound Saturday evening.
The person was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Police say the street was closed whereas an officer educated in collision probes examined the scene, and the reason for the crash continues to be underneath investigation.
The truck driver was not injured.
