WASHINGTON (AP) — An Air Pressure aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Senate International Relations Committee chairman, Sen. Jim Risch, to Germany for the Munich Security Conference was pressured to return to Washington late Thursday after growing a mechanical situation.
“This night, en route from Washington to Munich, the aircraft on which Secretary Rubio is flying skilled a mechanical situation,” State Division spokeswoman Tammy Bruce mentioned.
“The aircraft has circled and is returning to Joint Base Andrews,” she mentioned. “The secretary intends to proceed his journey to Germany and the Center East on a separate air craft.”
