A aircraft that skilled a tough touchdown, which sparked flames on the Halifax airport, has now been moved and the runway is again in operation.
The Air Canada Specific flight operated by PAL Airways arrived from St. John’s, N.L. Saturday evening and tried to land at Halifax Stanfield Worldwide Airport.
Air Canada spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick mentioned late Saturday that the aircraft skilled a “suspected landing gear issue” after arrival and was unable to succeed in the terminal.
He mentioned not one of the 73 passengers or crew was injured.

A passenger, Nikki Valentine, mentioned that they felt a “huge rumble” upon touchdown.

In a Monday assertion, a Halifax airport spokesperson mentioned the Transportation Security Board (TSB) had accomplished its overview of the world as of Sunday evening and had given its approval for the plane’s removing.
“We assisted our airline companions in safely relocating the plane,” wrote communications supervisor, Leah Batstone, in an e mail to International Information.
“The runway was inspected and reopened immediately (Dec. 30) at 10:15 a.m. Each runways at the moment are obtainable for normal flight operations.”
