WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Ronald Messner, a outstanding Wichita builder and husband of the late Tammy Faye (Baker) Messner, has died.
Born in Waldron, Kansas, in 1935, Messner graduated from East Excessive College. In line with his obituary, he began working in development at 14 and shaped his personal firm.
Messner would go on to construct over 1,700 church buildings and megachurches throughout the nation, together with HeritageUSA, the megachurch operated by televangelist Jim Baker and his spouse Tammy Faye.
An avid golfer, he was the developer behind the Terradyne group and golf course in Andover. He wed Tammy Fae Baker shortly after her divorce from Jim Baker and his divorce from his first spouse RuthAnn.

In 1996, Messner was convicted of chapter fraud and sentenced to 27 months in jail. He was launched in 1999.
Messner died Monday in Wichita at 89. He’s survived by his former spouse RuthAnn, their three youngsters, 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
