A federal choose is holding Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court docket for failing to adjust to requests for details about his belongings associated to his defamation verdict ordering him to pay two Georgia election workers $148 million.
The Associated Press reported that New York-based U.S. District Decide Lewis Liman dominated that the previous Trump lawyer and New York mayor “willfully violated an unambiguous order of the court docket” when he “blew previous” a Dec. 20 deadline to submit info.
Liman mentioned that Giuliani “tried to run the clock by stalling” and withholding details about belongings he might use to pay Georgia election staff Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss after he accused them of committing fraud throughout the 2020 election.

This comes after Giuliani, 80, testified for 3 hours on Friday and once more on Monday explaining the delays in sharing details about his belongings.
Liman mentioned that he can be issuing sanctions towards Giuliani over the contempt, which he would determine on later.
One other trial set for Jan. 16 will determine whether or not a New York Yankees World Collection ring and Giuliani’s Florida house can be utilized to assist pay his debt to Freeman and Moss.
