A Russian court reportedly slashed the sentence of an American who has been held abroad following a drug trafficking conviction.
The sentence of Robert Woodland was diminished from 12.5 years to 9.5 years on Tuesday, his legal professional, Stanislav Kshevitsky, told Reuters.
It’s unclear why Woodland’s sentence was shortened. The State Division didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark from Fox Information Digital.

Woodland, born in Russia in 1991, was adopted by American dad and mom on the age of two. He returned to Russia on the age of 26 in an effort to meet his beginning mom, he claimed.
