The Canadian Union of Public Employees says greater than 200 instructional help staff in a college district north of Edmonton are on strike till there’s a settlement with their employer.
It comes a day after over 3,000 union members in Edmonton walked off the job, demanding wage will increase.
Kelly Salisbury, president of the CUPE native representing help workers within the Sturgeon Public School Division, says persons are not prepared to take these jobs on the pay now being supplied.
