A historic Winnipeg resort is predicted to be a complete loss after the constructing went up in flames Wednesday afternoon.
Crews proceed to battle a blaze on the Sutherland Hotel on Foremost Road, which has shut down the stretch of the street from Jarvis to Higgins avenues.
The constructing was vacant and no accidents have been reported.
The hearth broke out simply after 1 p.m. Wednesday, and firefighters decided it was unsafe to enter the constructing, instantly declaring a second alarm as a result of scale of the blaze.

Crews have been utilizing aerial ladders to use water to the hearth.
Neighbouring buildings have been evacuated as a precaution.
Residents are requested to make use of warning when Foremost Road re-opens because the water used to struggle the hearth will freeze and create slippery situations.
In line with the Manitoba Historic Society, the constructing opened in 1882.
