On Sunday, the streets of Goma buzzed with bikes and have been consumed by panic.
Asifiwe Iragi Rugesha tried to navigate her six youngsters by the crowds of fellow dispaced individuals. That they had fled bombing in Kibati that morning. However with M23 closing in on Goma, they’d hardly fled to a spot of security.
Nonetheless, it was the one possibility, Ms. Rugesha mentioned.
“There’s nothing else to do,” she mentioned. “If M23 involves Goma, we are going to die.”
