Donald Trump has mentioned he’ll speak to Vladimir Putin “this week” and he’s “hopeful” the Russian leader will agree to a 30 day ceasefire with Ukraine.
The US president supplied his first feedback after his crew and Ukrainian officials announced they had come to terms on a 30-day ceasefire settlement between Moscow and Kyiv on Tuesday (11 March).
Talking to journalists on the White Home driveway after the announcement, Trump mentioned: “Now we now have to go to Russia and … hopefully President Putin, will comply with that additionally.”
He informed reporters he hopes the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire proposal could be solidified “over the following few days.”
