Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims his forces captured two Chinese language nationals fighting in Ukraine this week.
Zelenskyy made the announcement with a video on Telegram, exhibiting footage of a clearly involved prisoner of conflict.
“Our navy captured two Chinese language residents who fought within the Russian military,” Zelenskyy says within the video. “This occurred on the territory of Ukraine – within the Donetsk area.”
“There are paperwork of those prisoners, financial institution playing cards, private knowledge. We have now data that there are considerably extra Chinese language residents within the models of the occupier than two,” he added.

“We’re presently clarifying all of the information,” he continued. “Intelligence, the SBU, and the related models of the Armed Forces are working. I’ve instructed the Minister of International Affairs of Ukraine to instantly contact Beijing and learn how China goes to react to this.”

The incident comes after Ukrainian forces captured two North Korean troopers preventing alongside Russia in January.
South Korea’s Nationwide Intelligence Service (NIS) told AFP it has “confirmed that the Ukrainian navy captured two North Korean troopers on January 9 within the Kursk battlefield in Russia.”

Ukraine’s navy says North Korean troopers are outfitted in Russian navy uniforms and carry faux navy IDs of their pockets, a scheme that Andrii Yusov, spokesperson for Ukraine’s navy intelligence company, says may imply Moscow and “its representatives on the U.N. can deny the information.”
