A College of Calgary paleontologist is a part of a discovery of a brand new species of dinosaur with 30-centimetre-long claws present in a Mongolian desert.
Darla Zelenitsky says the stays of the therizinosaur have been discovered within the Gobi desert in 2012 throughout the building of a water pipeline.
She says the species usually had three-fingered arms used to assemble vegetation for meals.

Zelenitsky says this specimen developed to have solely two claws and has been named Duonychus.
She says the Duonychus was an awkward-looking dinosaur as a result of it walked upright, had lengthy arms and weighed about 250 kilograms.
Zelenitsky says that is the one specimen that’s been discovered, however it’s believed to have existed in each Asia and North America.
