A 24-year-old Marine Sergeant died after she was injured in a snowboarding accident at a preferred resort in Colorado whereas dwelling visiting her household for the vacations.
Jessie Mello, 24, was snowboarding at Powderhorn Mountain on Dec. 24 when she suffered a extreme head damage and damaged bones, the Mesa County Coroner and the resort confirmed to Fox Information Digital.
Officers stated that the Marine was on an intermediate-level path when the Christmas Eve accident occurred.
Her father, Eric Mello, advised The Colorado Sun that eyewitnesses reported she hit a patch of ice and collided right into a tree. He stated that she was carrying a helmet on the time of the accident.
