U.S. Navy destroyers shot down Houthi missiles and drones for the second time in a month, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated Tuesday.
The united statesStockdale (DDG 106) and USS O’Kane (DDG 77) efficiently defeated a variety of Houthi-launched weapons whereas transiting the Gulf of Aden on Dec. 9 and 10, the Navy stated.
The ships have been escorting U.S. owned and operated service provider vessels once they efficiently engaged and defeated a number of one-way assaults, uncrewed aerial methods and one anti-ship cruise missile.

This assault marks the second in a month, with the primary going down from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 when the ships defeated an Iran-backed Houthi assault.

“These actions replicate the continued dedication of CENTCOM forces to guard U.S. personnel, regional companions, and worldwide transport, in opposition to assaults by Iran-backed Houthis,” the command stated in a press release.
The assaults happened whereas the vessels have been transiting the Gulf of Aden from Dec. 9 to Dec. 10, CENTCOM stated. (U.S. Central Command)

American personnel weren’t injured, CENTCOM added, and there have been no accidents or injury to the ships.
The attacks against shipping are ongoing and Houthi militants vow to proceed till Israel ends its marketing campaign in Gaza.
