Hanging video reveals the second a British Airways airplane was hit by lightning whereas sitting at a gate at a Brazilian airport on Friday.
In a video posted to X by Bernhard Warr, a British Airways airplane is seen parked at a gate on the São Paulo/Guarulhos Worldwide Airport in Brazil within the rain, when instantly lightning strikes in spectacular style.
As future passengers waited for boarding, lightning may very well be seen placing the tail of the plane. The video seemed to be modified to point out the strike in sluggish movement as one of many tarmac crew members is seen slowly strolling towards the rear of the airplane.
“I’m in GRU ready to come back residence [but] my airplane has needed to go off for a examine,” Warr wrote. “What kind of checks will get completed on it?”

Warr later wrote that he had touched down safely in London.

British Airways didn’t instantly reply to Fox Information Digital’s request for remark and extra details about the lightning strike.
